Welcome to The Panmure Arms Hotel. We are a family run business with the emphasis on quality and service, specialising in weddings, thus with our skilled and attentive staff allows us to make your wedding day a most memorable one.
Our ‘Lyndsay Suite’, is the perfect setting for wedding parties up to 120 guests, and with the various rooms throughout the hotel gives us the diversity to accommodate the wedding service, if required, service cost £3.50 per guest.
Smaller wedding parties can also be very easily accommodated with no extra charges, whether just for a meal or a full function what ever you have in mind, please feel free to come in at any time and have a look around our facilities. We certainly will be pleased to show you and your partner through and discuss your special day informally, if you wish.

On arrival at the hotel
The bridal party and their guests receive a personal welcome and your choice of reception drink is served.
Welcome your guests
In order to give everyone in the bridal party an opportunity to meet and welcome all the guests, a line up may be formed. This is after the reception drinks and prior to the guests being sat for the meal. The line up’s normal positioning – bride’s parents followed by the groom’s parents then the bride and the groom lastly the bridesmaids and the best man.
The wedding meal
Your guests and the bridal party will be shown to their seats while you enjoy a few private moments with your new spouse. When everyone is seated, a formal announcement will be made for the entrance of the bride and groom Mr and Mrs who are then seated at the top table, some couples may wish to be piped in by a Scottish piper to make a grand entrance.

The Panmure Arms Hotel will be only too happy to provide a master of ceremonies alternatively you may have a guest such as the minister who would enjoy saying grace and introducing the speeches
Cutting the cake
After the main course the traditional cutting of the cake is performed, a tier of the cake is then removed, cut and served with the coffee.
Toasts and speeches
Traditionally at the end of the meal. Firstly the father of the bride or a close relative or friend of the family normally proposes the toast to the bride and groom. The bridegroom, following his response to the first toast, then proposes the toast to the bride’s maids. The bestman would then respond to the bridegroom’s speech on behalf of the bridesmaids. He would also read the telegrams and cards to the guests at the end of the speeches.
Center piece buffets
These can also be catered for and as a guide can contain various items such as:
- Dressed salmon
- Turkey crown
- Roast striploin of beef
- Honey and spiced chicken Supremes
- Roast ham joint
- Chefs own salad, pasta, potato waldorf etc
- Baked potatoes, roast, boiled vegetables
- Bread rolls/sticks
- Smoked salmon
- Cheese selection
- Sauces, dips
Prices for centre piece buffets start at around £25.00 per person with a served starter, served sweet and coffee.
Wedding sample menus
We have enclosed some sample menus as a guide to what is possible, these are only meant as a guide and are only too happy to make up and cost menus to individual requirements so please feel free to discuss menu options further with ourselves.
For weddings no charge is made for children under two. Children under twelve may receive a half portion of an adult’s meal at 50% of the full price.
Wedding drinks and wines
The Panmure Arms Hotel can supply various types of drinks during your day, for example reception drinks:

These can be served by various methods, either waitress tray, or by a reception table.
With the meal we suggest wine, whether it be our competitively priced house wine at £13.50 per bottle, red or white or your own preference from our wine list. We advise a glass plus a top-up to be served with the meal.
For the speeches and toasts we can again serve various drinks whether it be champagne, sparkling wine, liqueurs or a drink of choice. Prices are the same as the reception drinks.
After the speeches and coffees are finished, the Lindsay suite is rearranged for the evening dance whether this is by means of disco or band, prices available for both.
Evening buffets (These prices are based on a minimum of 50 guests)
Also available are item such as Stovies £3.50 per person, Shepard’s pie £4.50 per person and Sweet and Sour chicken £5.50 (these are plated and served but smaller than a main course portion)

Savoury vol au vons, tea and coffee.
Price £4.25 per person

Price £6.25 per person
A Bridal Suite is available for the bride and groom, complementary if there are more than 50 adult meal guests.
